Frequently Asked Questions

A plastering machine is a mechanised mixing and pumping system that mixes dry plaster/render or screed powder with water and pumps it through a hose to be sprayed onto walls and ceilings. It replaces manual mixing and carrying, speeding up plastering jobs and providing a consistent finish.
There are two main types: Mixing pumps – mix dry material and pump continuously (e.g., PFT G4, Ritmo). Conveying pumps – pump premixed material to the spray gun (e.g., PFT Swing M / Airless for texture). Inside this category, machines designed for batch mixing and conveyors like ZP3 also exist.
Most plastering machines can handle a wide range of sprayable materials including gypsum plaster, base coat renders, cement/lime renders, screeds, silicone render, acrylic texture coatings and monocouche systems. Always check material compatibility with the manufacturer.
230 V machines plug into standard site or mains power and are ideal for domestic and small commercial jobs. 400 V machines have more power, can pump further and faster, and are often used on larger sites (sometimes requiring generators if 400 V isn’t available onsite).
If you have access to site power, a 230 V machine will run from mains. For jobs without power, or if using a 400 V machine, a generator is needed. PFT machines can be supplied with suitable generator options.
Output and distance depend on the machine model and rotor/stator set used. Smaller machines might deliver lower L/min output, while larger mixers can achieve 60 L/min or more with longer hose runs. Output also depends on material type and site setup.
Common accessories and spares that reduce downtime include rotors & stators, mixing shafts, spray guns in different lengths, hoses, wearable seals and connectors. Keeping these available helps keep the machine running smoothly.
Daily cleaning of water and air filters, checking hoses and spray gun seals, and regular servicing (e.g., annual professional check) keeps machines working well. Proper cleaning after use typically takes about 10–20 minutes.
Yes — mixing/pumping machines allow a single plasterer to spray materials continuously without manual mixing. However having a helper to feed material and manage hoses can improve efficiency.
Machine plastering is significantly faster, reduces labour costs and delivers a more consistent finish. It also lessens physical strain compared to hand mixing and applying plaster.

PFT Plastering Machines – Built for Professionals

Why Professionals Choose PFT Plastering Machines

PFT plastering machines are not the cheapest — and that’s exactly the point. Professional plasterers invest in reliability, performance and long-term value, not short-term savings. A PFT machine is built to run day after day on demanding sites, delivering consistent output for plaster, render and screed without compromise.

From the engineering and mixing performance to the availability of genuine spare parts and intelligent upgrades, every PFT machine is designed as a complete system. Extension hoppers, automatic material sensors, specialist spray guns, precision rotors and stators — these are not afterthoughts, they are purpose-built solutions developed over decades.

That quality is reflected in the reputation of the brand and in the resale value of used machines. PFT machines hold their value because they last longer, perform better and are supported properly.

Professionals don’t experiment with cheap alternatives. They choose the machine that pays them back every single day.
