Plastic Plastering Trowels & ABS Floats

(17 products)

If you’re finishing silicone, acrylic or thin-coat renders, a decent plastic trowel or ABS float makes all the difference. No black marks, no shine, no dragging — just a clean, even finish every time.

Here you’ll find all the Skimflex and Refina plastic gear in one place: PLAZIFLEX trowels, ABS floats, diamond-face floats, texture floats, poly floats and the lightweight plastic finishing trowels everyone uses for final trowel-up.

Plastic blades glide lovely over multi-finish, Venetian, lime and any decorative plaster. They let you work earlier without tearing the set, and you don’t get that burnished metal look you get with steel.

If you’re floating a backing coat, go for the diamond ABS floats — loads of key and keeps it flat.
If you’re doing silicone or acrylic top coats, grab a texture float or a smooth ABS one for a nice even grain.

Everything here is proper trade gear. Lightweight, flexible, and ideal for coloured renders, thin coats, and clean finishing work.

    ABS & Plastering Floats

ABS floats and plastic plastering floats are used for floating and smoothing renders, backing coats and thin-coat base coats. They’re ideal for flattening mesh into the base coat, levelling up sand and cement, and devil floating walls before skimming. Light, tough and non-marking, they keep the surface flat and even without dragging or shining the render.

    Plastic Finishing Trowels

Plastic plastering trowels are used for finishing silicone and acrylic renders to a flat, clean, even finish. They don’t leave metal marks, don’t burnish the colour and glide nicely over thin-coat systems. Available in 1–3mm blade thicknesses, with different handle styles and either pointed or flat fronts, so you can choose the feel that suits your way of working.
