The PLAZIFLEX Foam Backed 1.5mm Flexiback Grey Skimming Trowel is REFINA’s medium-flex plastic finishing trowel, designed for plasterers who want a firmer feel than the ultra-flex 1.0mm blade while still keeping enough flex for finishing skim coats cleanly.

The 1.5mm grey plastic blade, supported by the FLEXIBACK® foam layer, offers controlled flexibility across the width with solid rigidity along the length. This makes it ideal for smoothing, flattening, final finishing, and working on curved or swooping surfaces where a steel trowel can drag or leave lines.

The lightweight plastic blade reduces fatigue, helps ease joint strain, and provides less drag than stainless steel trowels — allowing you to work plaster earlier and finish sets faster with less water. The two-component system uses a detachable REFINA 8" midget trowel as the handle shoe, letting you swap blades or replace worn blades quickly.
